Dad, 24th July may never the same again since you left us, just as 12th July has not been the same since mam died, but they will always remain your birthdays and special for that. I can remember some very special birthdays over recent years. In particular,the weekend we spent in the Copthorn Hotel in Cardiff. I think we rather took over the floor of the hotel and then the Cedar Tree restaurant in Caerphilly where we definately took over! We talked about that weekend for a long time after and I know you were delighted to see us all together as a family. Last year was also eventful, I guess we all thought it might possibly be the last. The walk from the Hollins Nursing Home to Gnoll Park. Its only a short walk, I said. More like a mountain climb! We thought Gareth was going to collapse as he tried to push you up the hill into the park. We, or rather you, had some cake in the cafe. You laughed a lot there, more than I had heard you laugh for many years and you seemed to enjoy it. It is so sad to think we won't be able to take you out again. We are all meeting up to celebrate your birthday on 4th August and I'm sure we will have a a few laughs... and tears.. but we will still wish you a special birthday. Miss you very much , always will.
